Another detailed view of the elaborate brick work and stone inlays at the Bourn’s Cottage in the Empire Mine. The doors are actually sunken so far into the 7-layered brick framing that taking these shots were almost impossible in the sunlight. I bracketed shutter speed to get something usable, usually an underexposed shot. Those were the only shots I could digitally enhance enough to show the details of the doors and not keep the rock from blowing out all over the place. “As is” will certainly not get one of these ‘doctored’ images. LOL!
