Horse-drawn carriage, Old Sac

The historically preserved (or reconstructed where it was just too unsafe to fix) Old Sacramento is one of the biggest tourist [traps] draws in town. Some of the streets are still cobblestone and a royal pain to drive, walk, or load musical equipment from a vehicle on without being either bounced into pieces or risking destruction from a fall. In other words, cute but impractical. Sorta like spending a pile of cash to be seen in a carriage wandering thru the perpetually busy streets. At least there have been a load of modern day improvements: an “apple sack” for those times when you have to “do it on the road”; a functional brake pedal that I’m sure really makes a horse thrilled when applied; a bucket and shovel (I don’t know…Overflow???); rubber on the wheels, and; brake lights. What I want them to figure out is how to put a huge plastic bag for other horsie functions in front of the “apple sack”...

PS I really tried to get all of the other 21st century trappings out of this picture but the cars were everywhere and that mammoth ugly building in the background just wasn’t going anywhere.
