eastern wall under red sunset

This is the sunlit wall on the opposite side of the sunsets from Blue Point. The sheerness of the mountainside was created by man while hydrolic mining for many, many years.

Thanks all! Unfortunately, Karirose is correct and I can’t see the colours in this photograph. However, the computer can and it ‘said’ they match with the hues from the sunset photos. And I had it so the reflection in the water was PERFECT until some dumb bug did a belly flop (to the right of the pond) and caused one single set of ripples. I’d have waited for the water to be perfectly calm again but the sunset was happening behind me and the mosquitoes were ‘sampling flatlander flesh’ all over me!

I love it… and always forget that you can’t see the colors because you are so talented it doesn’t matter… you have an eye for beauty even if it isn’t exactly what we see…

WOW spectacular…........and you cant see color. OMG…..the shades of Orange of the setting sun, reflecting off the cliff cut away and reflected in the water combined with the vibrant blue of the water and the miriad of more subtle colors of the land…....WOW…........What a magnificent capture…well done.

Thank you very much! I can see colour; I just can’t see enough of the right ones for me to make out what other people see. A guide always helps and when someone says, “Ah!” I aim at whatever you’re looking at. LOL!

    Nice shot Lenny, good color.

Thanks! By way of improvement, what would you suggest? I had a group rejection and wonder what you think. :-)

Honestly Lenny, I can’t see what you could improve on. The cropping is good, not to much sky, the colors are marvelous and the DOF and POV are fine. I’ve had group rejections too and it’s usually cause I didn’t put where it was taken or nearest town or date, something like that.

  • Lenny La Rue, IPA replied

Well thanks, my man. I was a bit taken aback by this rejection because I thought the shot was darn good too but I’ve been rejected plenty and that’s fine by me. Heck, I’ve been rejected face-to-face a lot more than Red Bubble groups could possibly reject me!!! LOL!
