Reflections under a bridge 1

Along one of the backwoods trails near Mendocino, this tiny river wound thru ferns heavily covering both sides. This is one of the small footbridges from two aspects: the path walked upon and the reflected path we most enjoyed.

Reflections under a bridge 1 belongs to the following groups:

"Stream Crossings", Bridges and Green!

You captured a wonderworld with this shot. Well done.

Thank you all! I really wasn’t instantly charmed by this scene, truth be told. My guide turned back as we were headed back to the car and saw this for what it is: a remarkably beautiful setting, a ‘wonderworld’. I, being a “visual klutz”, didn’t see the reflections, the subtle contrasts, the colours, nada until they were pointed out to me. But Jennifer, framing it for me to see like this makes it wonderfully placid piece of art! Thank you. :-D Ozcloggie, I worked on that name longer than I worked on the shot because I was hoping to invite viewers to do exactly as you did. Thanks for telling me it worked. Woo hoo!

Thank you very much! I need to credit my guide with seeing reflections and guiding me towards them. I was pretty much stuck on the “horizon up” world and missed the “horizon down” aspect until it was pointed out to me.

The reflections seen here are some of the best I’ve ever captured, and this was *before+ I had a circular polarizer filter to use. I plan to do much better in the future!
