hope

From one of my long walks thru the heart of Downtown Sacramento, CA. I left it grungy this time and highlighted only the nature of being “between permanent addresses”.

PS If I knew how to shoot HDR well, I’d have worked on this one a LOT. ;-)

Thank you very much. :-) I was a bit concerned to stay and shoot a lot as it would be like walking up to someone else’s house and shooting thru the windows. This IS a house for someone and he or she (or both) may be sitting right behind the glass. I got smarter this time and blurred the “address” too.

My current mentor will see this after seeing “first home” and be annoyed with my composition. Did I need to get ALL of the vehicle to show the point? Did I NEED to shoot it from some “superior” height, seemingly lowering the humanity I was shooting? Did I really NEED to leave that shock of brightness in the far left side or could I have cropped it so the vehicle so the “hope” end of the truck was lighter and it faded to darkness long before the rear tire? And did anyone need to see the corner of a new Volkswagen or most of the storefront in the background?

These are the things I’m learning to see and do/not do now while sometimes refusing to out of stubbornness. Oh well, I can now see them at least. Next trick: making everyone else see them that way too. ;-)
