Luv ya, Billy Lee!

Thanks and nope. But I had to repeatedly get this guy’s nose prints off the lens of my brand new Panasonic DMC-Z4! He was more interested in the camera than the nuts. Zoom? If I’d zoomed 1X, I would have been able to see right THROUGH this curious bugger. LOL!

Mounds have almonds… LMFAO! The narrative is for a wonderful friend down under who’s feeling ill and needs a bit of good ol’ American nudity to keep her spirits up. (I’m sure I’ll hear about it in Bmail from a screaming Aussie all too soon. :-D )

Thank you! But like I said above, this guy all but took the shots himself. At one point near the beginning of our brief encounter, he put his paws on my finger and I was extremely unhappy about that, thinking ‘great, here comes my first squirrel bite!” But he was so friendly I could have out him in a pocket… and received my first squirrel bite on a nipple. :-D

OK, where have you seen a squirrel in ‘Fruit Of The Loom’? (Can you imagine being the guy who came up with that name for underwear? Fruit and underwear. What in the world was the guy thinking? Do we even want to know??)

I think Bear is more like the “cute but dumb” males – one of those who tells blond jokes that seem more like him than anyone with light-coloured hair. Arnold comes to mind… Bear is as neurotic and scared to pursue a career writing as he is in music and photography. Bear and I get along well because we’re so much alike – except I don’t have a bushy tail. I shave mine.

Squirrel claws ARE sharp, as I noted the first time I didn’t lean forward when feeding the squirrels while standing in the rain. They are VERY eager to get food quickly when they are trying to avoid getting wet so they will climb your pants legs like rats in a horror movie. Leaning forward lets your pants hang AWAY from your skin and gives them something to climb up WITHOUT using your skin like tree bark through the material. Shots of that coming soon now that I have a camera that can be used more safely in the rain.

That camera, by the way, is my new ‘pocket rocket’, the Panasonic DMC-TZ4. It will be doing most of my macros now and save me spending $600+ for a macro lens on the Nikon D80. I don’t feel like I cheated Nikon as long as I don’t get a Canon. Besides, I got a new Nikkor 55-200 VR lens for half price from Circuit City before they went out of business. Woo hoo!

Thank you, Trudi! The new camera should make macros almost as easily as the Nikon does wide-angle shots. Now, back to studying your macros to get mine as hot as YOURS are. :-D

Awww! Squirrel hoo-hoos are soooooo cute, babe! That’s how you can tell who’s happy and who has kids to feed back at home. :-D I’d post Mama and Papa [Squirrel in Weedy Field] earning their names but Red Bubble says “play nice” not show off BEING “nice”. Hehehe!

Thank you! Those eyes are the eyes of a rather insanely curious squirrel. You only see them like this when the squirrel hyper-sensitive to something, like how close he’s standing to my camera. Usually they are more like any relaxed and calm rodent: a mixed dosage of mildly disturbing and comfortably cute. LOL! When you see one like this 2 inches from your nose, you can expect the unexpected to happen. :-D

Thanks! The squirrels in Sacramento are so friendly they would call you by name if they could figure out how to talk. I can snap my fingers and have them come running on a cold day. I never tried peanut butter but they will flippin’ swarm for roasted peanuts (sans salt for their protection). Rattle a bag: they run at you like rats for cheese! It can be daunting until you get used to it, especially if they climb your pants. :-O

LOL! I was a bit lower than all fours: belly down, camera up, fighting to refocus before I got squirrel boogers on the lens. The camera barely focused as it was. :-D

However, if you were implying that we were ‘tangoing’ down there on all fours together, keep in mind this was a VERY public park, actually an island of state jurisdiction in the heart of city law enforcement. Anything untoward regarding visual imagining would probably get me 9 to life in San Quentin!!!!
