Bunk Boobs
Well, if you’ve got uppers and lowers, and the most aggressive get first pick, would YOU pick an upper or a lower “bunk boob”? Seems that the lowers have the advantages of allowing you to lay down and eat and doesn’t gravity pull all the extra swallows down to lower ‘food stations’? Then again, the advantages of being in an upper boob are the ability to stand on lower boobers while proving your dominance and more air while eating.
I think I’d go with an upper myself: more boobs available, less waiting. Hmm, I guess the photograph solves the question then: 5 of 8 piglets prefer to stand over someone to eat so the top bunk boob wins by two nipples.
I wonder what happens if she lays on her RIGHT side. Is the top bunk position still on the top or to piglets prefer the same boob no matter where it is? As soon as mama rolls over, I’ll tabulate the numbers by nipples since telling the tiny bacon babies apart is still somewhat problematic…

I was there about an hour, you brat!!! LOL! It was hard to catch them at first, then I got used to their movements and was able to predict a bit of their paths and be ready. Also they get slower a bit after they eat. LOL!

Thank you and yes, I’m ‘citykid’ thru and thru so seeing piglets for the first time was a bit overwhelming and I DID go a bit overboard with the little snorters. But you have to admit, they ARE fun to watch, right?
(I try to keep things PG-13 so I didn’t mention that mom had to get up for “fluid relief” and almost flooded the outside of the pen! Good grief, what a bladder!!!!)

What a beautiful charming photo… having breast fed both my girls I have to say that momma pig is in piggy heaven. Those breasts are very swollen.. she’d be grateful for the relief..whatever the position! LOL bunk boobs.. I had the top bunk at home..so I’d be a top feeder too! : ) lovely image Lenny… Wen xox

What a great shot Lenny!!!! Little piglets are soo cute!!! My aunt and uncle used to raise hogs, and this takes me back to spending summers on their farm!!! The only thing I didn’t like doing was cleaning out the hog houses!!!! ahhhh… nothing like the smell of poop in the morning!!!!

It is and it was noted on some of the little oinkers even when they weren’t “boobin’ it”. They could have been males (or females), recently clipped (Their tails all seemed bobbed and I was told that’s for safety in cold weather), or just more excited. I’m sure someone knows. I pretty sure I don’t wanna ask. LMFAO~!
