It had just finished which was one of the reasons he was calm enough to stop moving constantly. He was skittish ever other moment and constantly trying to get away from every human around, including handlers.

Nah, not really. My newly fixed D80 fires fast enough to catch them if they stop for 1/33 of a second with the flash. This guy had just turned around and run towards me avoiding someone else. LOL!
Interesting fact: they have no upper teeth. :-O
