Hello all. I’m a Sacramentan deeply interested in the arts of photography, music, writing and fractals. I had been using “point-and-shoot” digital cameras for over 8 years until a year ago when I purchased a Nikon D80 and a Nikon D60 was added recently. As a musician, I’ve been a keyboardist for about 45 years, playing professionally for the last 43, have 5 albums of original music, and numerous songs. As a writer, I have a small book of adult short stories, numerous poems, a few rants & essays, and the occasional unidentified rambling. :-) I sometimes pretend to be a humorist so humour me, OK? OK!

I haven’t found any single medium that captures my full interest or attention as a specialty so my art ranges from ‘light paintings’ to the moon to ambient sounds – literally. Hundreds of shots of birds, flowers (mostly macro), mushrooms, water, large-scale emergencies/disasters including local flooding and Northern California’s massive windstorms, crystal blue lakes, rivers, waterfalls, fountains, rapids, ice crystals, dew drops, the Pacific Ocean shoreline, sunsets, and forests are some of my favourites but I have shots of deer, squirrels, geese eating from my hands (or mouth) and everything interesting in Weedy Field. Basically, I’ve shot anything I’ve seen and a few things I can’t without macro photography. I obviously haven’t found a singular focus for any pursuit, be it styles of music or subjects to photograph or talk about.
