Artist's Description

Beautiful creature, isn’t it?

Rüppell’s Griffon Vulture (Gyps rueppellii) is the world’s highest-flying bird, with confirmed evidence of a flight at an altitude of 11,000 metres (36,100 ft) above sea level. [source: Wikipedia]
Just imagine this monster flying at the airline routes!

This portrait was taken just after the falconer gave the bird a shower shortly after the show: you can see the droplets of water on the vulture’s wings.
