Ratiborice Chateau and its surroundings (including the mill, the Old Bleachery and the weir) served as a setting for The Grandmother, the most famous novel of the 19th-century Czech writer Božena Němcová. They belong to the most frequently visited historical monuments in Eastern Bohemia.
