Preferring tranquility to tourist crowds, we climbed the Monte Stivo, northeast from Lago di Garda (Lake Garda), rather than very popular Monte Baldo. The horse we met on the Monte Stivo’s slopes was only interested in grazing the green grass, but we admired the beautiful vistas of the lake and surrounding mountains.
