I used to just love colour,
but you’ve helped me also love grey –
The many shades of you and me
that I see in your eyes.

I swim in the pale blue whispers
that sing my reflection true,
In the sea-green tones of nature’s heart
that reveal the depths of you.

But most of all I love the greys,
those pebbled layers that lay beneath,
Layers that i’ve never seen
Of thoughts and laughs and heart and dreams,
All awaiting discovery,

And speaking the beauty of love so true…

For all the colours in the world
Couldn’t capture the shades
That warm my heart
Like you.
