Arist Statement
“Few people stop to appreciate the truly amazing world of colour. We all notice its affect on our mood, and often we are drawn to certain colour-ranges or have certaincolour preferences, but we tend to limit our explanation to simple ‘aesthetics’.

Colour is more than just aesthetics. It carries vibration which has the power to trigger universal reactions in the endocrine system (hormonal release) as well as subconscious memories. These universal reactions stand as an important reminder of the uniting elements of our human existence – emotion, sensuality, imagination, thought, logic, memory.

We cannot discount all that is within us, and all that is around us. The power of connectivity and influence between the indidvidual and the whole; the power to change what is around us in a positive way by changing that which is within us, starting simply by changing our perceptions, attitudes and reactions.

My artworks tell a story. A subconscious ‘pull’ to a work exposes you what your inner consciousness desires at that moment, what you need to liberate subconscious emotion, memory or thought in order to heighten your indidvidual potential.

Through liberation and inner balance, and true recognition of our inner potential and universal connectvity, the result can only be beauty. “

About the artist:
Leni Kae was a finalist in UK’s Aesthetica Magazine 50th Annual Works Competition 2008, and her most recent international exhibition in New York is to be followed with two exhibitions in her home country – a solo at ArtHouse Hotel Sydney, and group show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Leni will also be showcasing her talent in Florence later this year, where she will be representing Australia in the upcoming Florence Biennale 09 in December.
