Thanks Ray, I agree trains make good subjects for moving HDR, particularly the older suburban ones in Sydney with the corrugated metal sides, you get a nice sheen, almost polished look when the light strikes them. Glad you like the shot.

Thanks Jeff, I had 3 goes at this and this version I like the best. Trains were on a fairly regular basis so I played with the timing of the shutter speed and when to start the exposure sequence to get the best sense of motion in the train. This version when HDR’d really brought out the shine of the metal train body but completely lost the trains windows which I really like now, makes it look like a long metal snake or a shot of mercury as you said.

Yep it’s a train, the fact that it’s moving has blurred out the windows quite well and the HDR brought out the shine in the corrugated metal body of the train. Thanks Jason!

Thanks Dusker, actually it was suprisingly easy, just have to get the timing of the induvidual exposures right, this was my 2nd attempt, first time around the train wasn’t moving fast enough to blur the windows etc. 3rd time station guard walked into shot!
