Pair of male Western Bower birds at Kings Canyon NT -
Very noisey display deep within a thicket of dwarf fig trees
The display went on for some minutes with much posturing , head bobbing, foot stomping and wing flapping ( no pecking was seen)
the more dramatic bird in the foreground appeared to get its way?

Near by was a cluster of bowers 4 – 5 some in disarray, the ineresting jewels on display in the active bower, were green glass, green seeds and various plastics – amazing as ususal
