Often found in pairs this little guy was out searching for a mate on their favourite bush in the rain

I love the paterns in Nature , their unique and abstract quality, being able to dive into the amazing world of the macro exploring worlds within worlds there discovering and being amazed.

    I saw a naturalized one at the Insectarium of Montreal. to see it live it must be great. well done

  • Thanks Manon – they were magic in the wild – it was the season for the female beetles to be making their leaf cacoons – and quite hard to find the males, I will post some of the other Giraffe beetles that we found on the island with different colour forms and fair bit smaller – regards John
