These birds sleep during the day in the eucalypts canopy and often blend into the larger branches and can be hard to distinguish. At dusk they start booming in chorus adn then they are off for an all night hunt, taking insest, spiders, frogs and small rodents.
We have had them fly up to our glass windows and take a large huntsman spider right off the window pane.
