The Skybus is late by

I was playing around with a sunset photo I had taken, when I got the idea for a planet similar to Earth, populated with humanoid type creatures who find something to grumble about regardless of the situation. Their conversation might go something like:

I can’t believe it Zhrikplatth, that’s the third time this Dasnuba that the skyhop has been late.

Keep your veins in, Krryp, at least we can enjoy another methane sunset while we wait.

About Tom Godfrey

My artwork ranges from the traditional, to the slightly offbeat.

With the wildlife and landscape, paintings, I like a more photo-realistic approach, with light, colour, emotion and a sense of space, being key components.

My cartoons are a little quirky, with themes and styles varying according to mood.

Thanks Resisto. I spend so long drawing and changing the characters, that I have lots of time to explore their world in my head :)

thanks again Lyndsay -you really are as crazy as me :) – couldn’t afford photoshop. I use Corel Painter IX and a Wacom graphics tablet for all the drawing. I often start with a pencil concept sketch. I would love to get into graphic design one day, so will no doubt have to learn the Adobe suite…do you use photoshop?

Now this is special! I’m imagining this world now … I think those humanoids would shuffle rather than walk … it’s a warm and dank world … and the humaniods don’t like other aliens – they’re a bit cantankerous.

Nice! I’m a fan of sci-fi and the creatures looks neat too. With all the cloudy environment it feels pretty dreamy and alien too.
