A scenic spot on the Cape Peninsula which we visited a good few times. It is a sanctuary for the endangered Jackass Penguins. I made this panoramic shot from 2 pics I took.

About Tom Godfrey

My artwork ranges from the traditional, to the slightly offbeat.

With the wildlife and landscape, paintings, I like a more photo-realistic approach, with light, colour, emotion and a sense of space, being key components.

My cartoons are a little quirky, with themes and styles varying according to mood.

Absolutely gorgeous. The swimmer gives an idea of the size too. Nice work Tom, panorama is virtually seemless.

  • Thanks Anne -yeh a bit of a darker band down the centre. I had thought of putting a darker line down the middle to cover that. I might give it a try.

Tom it wouldn’t be noticeable to the majority if you didn’t say you’d used two photos (I guess I looked for it). But I reckon if you can give the time to it, that would improve the shot no end (in my humble opinon). It really looks like a magical place.

  • Agreed. I may play a little and I’ll try not to get too carried away…who knows what lurks beneath :)
