I felt moved and sickened by the article posted by Kathleen and this little sketch is my small contribution to the freedom of the moonbears.

I remember the feeling when I saw the first, “Planet of the Apes” movie. Well it seems that for many animals on Earth, “Planet of the Humans” is way worse!

    oh that poor bear… isn’t it sick! I’ve done a bit of work in Animal Welfare (including over a year in the DPI in Queensland) and seen some really horrible abuses… but this type of ongoing government sanctioned torture of bears (who by the way in their natural environment eat berries) is one of the most horrific adventures I have ever taken my mind on…

    thanks Kath and well done for bringing this to our attention. When humans get pummeled by each other, I sometimes feel we deserve it, karmically speaking :), but I haven’t been able to fathom why animals need to suffer like this.
