The Contest
Maurice and Tom finally meet. The polished floor of the old arena would bear witness to this final clash. The city lay in smoky ruins behind them, testimony to the awful power of Maurice. Tom would not turn from this last chance to save them all. He flipped the switches on the blue plasma blaster cases and felt his body shudder with the recoil, even as Maurice crested the rise…
Actually I tutor a young chap called Maurice who loves to watch wrestling on a Friday afternoon. This image started off as a pencil sketch. I gave Maurice the size advantage but saved the plasma blasters for myself :) One again I am trying the looser more energetic style.

Better cut him down to size. Start with the big toes and go from there :)
Tom Godfrey replied
cut those feet off and he’s half gone. I agree :)

Terrific, Tom. I love the pencil drawing too as well as this final realisation! But to me pencil work is always so expressive – before the colour goes on.

Thanks rar. me too :)
