Uh Oh!
Santa had promised Mrs Claws that he would stop and take a cloud nap, at the first sign of fatigue, but that thought was far from his mind, when he was snapped back in his seat, then ripped forward as Rudolf increased power to overcome what he guessed must be turbulence drag.
Poor Santa’s eyes literally popped out of his head with the sudden deceleration. Luckily he had modified his body, with a little off season genetic tinkering to cope with just this sort of eventuality. He had not survived for thousands of years without learning some very useful survival techniques along the way.
He grinned at the image it must have presented, as his eyes recoiled and plopped back safely into their sockets. The presents were pulled slowly back into the sleigh, as the GPSS (Global Positioning Santa System) combined effectively with the microscopic magnetic linkers, built into the wrapping paper of the spilt gifts.
He continued merrily on his way with no ill effects, save a slight twinge of conscience, knowing that the residents of Tjikavik would be without power on Christmas Eve. Well, the power lines weren’t there last year, he thought and he always like to do a low, high speed , fly past over the little hamlet.
“Happy Christmas!” he yelled, in an attempt to make up for the power cut. Most of the windows in the tiny town shattered instantly with the sonic boom. He sped off, making a mental note to have a few words with the elf in charge of his Voice Magnifier.

Eye poppin’ Tom! Looks like Santa will be forgiven as the boom town still has snow on it’s roofs. I’m sure this is going to be the best Christmas card I’ll see this year.

thanks for your thoughtful comments people -they provide motivational energy. Brian, luckily I took this photo moments before Santa shouted Happy Christmas, otherwise the scene would have been too depressing to record :) By the way, i was thinking of renaming this to “The White Duck” after one bubblers observation :)

I love it!
I once had someone explain to me, carefully and with many calculations, that the speeds at which Santa would have to travel in order to visit every child on Christmas eve would cause him to be squashed flat by the G-force. It seems they were right.
