Lion cub on mum's tum

This is an acrylic painting I did a couple of years ago in South Africa, now in my wife’s private collection :) Lets try to keep these amazing cats sleeping peacefully under the stars for as long as possible.

Thanks friends – Dave you are quite right – hours and hours. I was into photo realism at the time as this was quite popular in Johannesburg. I still tend to get lost in the detail – even with my Sci Fi paintings. Thanks Brian and right back at ya :)

In fact I issue an open invitation—please add any of your animal artwork featuring an endangered or threatened species to this group. :) Every week I do features and I like to feature both photography and traditional art.
