Gorgon and Zola
The plan worked to perfection, “Bree”hemoth, unleashed his pneumatically assisted whipper arm and plucked Zola from the air. The shock on Zola’s body was immense, his eyes bulged and his sausage roll super thrusters, deprived of much needed airflow, whined in protest. He was fast losing consciousness. The red world blurred and greyed at the edges and all sound receded in a rapidly closing mental fog.
The “Bree”hemoth opened its jaws in delight and cast victorious glance down at Zola, no more would these free flyer, cliff-dwellers, disrupt operations at the hill. His last thought was a brief concern as to the whereabouts of Zola’s partner, Gorgon. The distraction had worked, The excitement registered by the Breehemoth, had momentarily diverted power from its dome shield and Gorgon punched through the soft tissue, his internal processors and deft pink fingers worked at light speed, to sever and remove the “Bree”hemoth’s core controller –its brain.
Zola dropped from lifeless fingers, his motors roared into life on auto pilot and took him up to a safe altitude, where he came round to see Gorgon next to him. Gorgon and Zola roared off into the red sky with cheesy grins plastered over their faces.

Thanks Bubblers. Anne
yes, I was getting a little “cheesy”, even hid a little Bree in the mix :). General thanks to you all. This pic took me ages -againpencil concept and lots of playing after that. There are so many beautiful images on rb, so I thought, as a counterpoint, that a small “Gory Story”, might be appropriate. Although, it should be noted that no pixels were harmed during the production of this image. :)Tom Godfrey
oops -soooory
Damian
Great fun image Tom, and a cool story to go with it as well!

this is fantastic tom!! i love the attention to detail, some parts of it remind me of a few of the aliens in the old school version of the game Doom. i also like this b/c its so unique! :)
Brian Towers
Another piece of magic to add to your wonderful portfolio. This is as creative and professional as they come Tom, both the artwork and the writing. I’d give my right arm to be able to paint like that – although it might make progress a bit slow.
Tom Godfrey
thanks Damian I’m glad you like them and andromada – for us mere mortals to be able to amuse you, is success indeed :) thanks for dropping in. Steven, I agree. I sometimes have to look over my shoulder when I’m drawing :). Thanks Jen -they say the devil is in the detail. I’m not too sure what that means :) but I have have had a hell of a time creating the detail :) Brian thanks so much. Comments like this coming from a man with your talent are amazing. I’d give my right arm to be able to paint watercolours like you do, but then I am left handed :)

Hi Tom!!...what a wonderful imagination you have….!!!....my son says”It’s very colourful and very impressive and very cool!!”
Tom Godfrey
Thanks Care, I was a primary school art teacher for many years, so I still tend to create at that level of interest. I guess I’m still a kid at heart really :)
Anne van Alkemade
Ah, I see them now. If ever you do a book – coffee table or otherwise – something with lots of huge glossy pictures – I’m there with card in hand, no matter what shape it’s in!!!!!!

Breehemoth and his pneumatically assisted whipper arm? C’mon Tom try something original…
Just kidding, this is awesome.
Tom Godfrey
Oh you saw it too? :) There was a being who drew this, but he lived on a distant dwarf planet in the outer systems of a parallel Universe composed of anti matter, so I thought I was safe..just goes to show, you can never take a chance :)
Not too many have picked up on my carefully crafted cheezy puns :) they got Gorgon and Zola but not Breehemoth, probably just thought I spelt it wrong :) Thanks James
