Leaving Snake Mountain
The cliff face shimmered slightly as the craft slipped softly into the blue. They hugged the sheer wall until they were well clear, then dipped into the powdered soft whiteness beneath. It had been a while since their last meeting. Hopefully this one would go better…
I have used this digital painting as the cover for my
2009 Sci Fi Calendar

love it. The detail, the teeth at the cave mouth. Excellent. The lasers shooting out from the windows. Very nice indeed, Tom.

Thanks Ann. I did the sketch for this on a train ride -waste no time they say :)

I have been spread so thinly I have been missing your beautiful stories and images. If it wasn’t so late would try and write a bit of a continuation.
Tom Godfrey replied
...gone are the good old days when you only had to look at a few hundred thousand images a day :) thanks for stopping by Pilgrim. Any time you feel like adding to the story you are more than welcome.

Here I am just overwhelmed by that imagination and sheer craftsmanship – or is that craftspaceship? You do these so well Master Tom. Look at that subtle light on the rockface, the highlights on the craft and the suggested fear of a big gob with teeth. Who else but you could make it all so realistic!
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks Sir Brian and for noticing all the subtleties and the not so subtle “big gob” :)

Absolutely beautiful art- exceptionally surreal imaginitation in that it all looks so normal, but it’s not a bit normal. Yet you took models from our life- jellyfish, caves, clouds. . . and all done with such graceful movement and logical lighting! It doesn’t get better. Besides, organic ships are such a cool concept. Definitely a Fav for me and a Fan for you.
ArtCreator
