The "Liberator"
It’s some time since I entered a pic in the horror genre. Sadly this one is not really fantasy. A liberator, a deliverer from minority oppression. yeh right!
Talk about ”...out of the frying pan and into the fire”
The "Liberator" belongs to the following groups:

Shanina Conway
Powerful work Tom…this is certainly a change of style..brilliant;)
Tom Godfrey replied
Yeh fast and furious… my little voice of protest for the poor suffering nation I used to call home. thanks Shanina
Stewart Wood
Cool image. I like the way this looks.
Wizard
It’s sad . . . how many historic figures have gone from liberator to tyrant.
That aside . . . Excellent work Tom. You’ve portrayed this in a most appropriate light.
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks Wizard. good observation – sad but true…”absolute power corrupts absolutely.” as they say.
Brian Towers
It ’s being suggested here that the ‘honourable’ title be withdrawn from Sir Robert. Wonder if they can remove his manhood as well as his knighthood. Odd how these people decry the west but take everyhting it has to offer. Keep up the good work Tom.
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks Sir Brian, At least your title is well deserved :) Yup he is a bit like a crazy Monty Pythonish character… “Sir Robert the puffed up stupid tyrant” Agreed re – beat the west with one hand while you are taking with the other -crazy!
Heather Rivet...
outstanding
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks Heather
Rob Stanley
Damn good work mate. The most horrific monsters are always us humans.
Tom Godfrey replied
Too true, unfortunately. Cheers Rob
David Stuart
Absolutely brilliant Tom..very powerful.
Tom Godfrey replied
thanks David. Maybe I’ll make him some place mats for his birthday :) Mind you, he is so twisted he would probably be flattered.
Jewd
What brilliant drawing Tom, full of the fury and passion of liberation…
Tom Godfrey replied
Cheers Jewd -hopefully those poor people will be liberated soon.
Firedrake
Fantastic! He has an interesting face for portraiture, perhaps that’s his only good point!
Tom Godfrey replied
:) perhaps that is his only redeeming feature.
Namueh
Wondedrful composed, great colors.
Per E. Gunnarsen
Very powerful and creative….very well done!
Mariaan Krog A...
Great artwork. Very bold & strong image!
Tom Godfrey replied
thanks mariaan
bubbleblue
very well done
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks bubbleblue. Sad to think he is still there, killing what is left of a once great African country.. shame on the world.
TheBlindHog
An amazingly powerful image. Thanks for sharing this.
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks TheBlindhog. It’s a pity that he still hangs onto power and millions of innocents suffer. Zimbabwe, the once shining gem of Africa, now wallows amongst the poorest and saddest. This image is a small attempt on my part, to help spread an awareness and maybe provoke some action.
Paul Davey
Pamberi neZimbabwe, pasi naMugabe, killer of women, children and the weak; liberator of no one.
An exceptional glimpse at the essence of this evil bastard.
Tom Godfrey replied
Thanks Paul. Good fair comment thanks :)
Fran Webster
You keep popping up everywhere Tom tom! Great stuff
Tom Godfrey replied
:) Thanks Fran -I’m turning into more of an illustrator than traditional artist at the mo :)
Katie Grubb
Fantastic image portraying ugly reality. Excellent work Tom.
