Clakkerpod

The giant Clakkerpod transport pod emerges from the sand sea, on the wastelands of Zargor. Timing devices ensure that thousands of others arise simulataneously and start to move steadily towards the rendevous, at the wall…

Tom – your imagination is BRILLIANT!

Now I’m thinking these creatures don’t look so violent … no obvious armament … so perhaps they are going to the wall as part of thier annual pilgrimage to worship the god of bad smells – Stinkemlots. The Clakkerpod’s are famous througout the universe for their pungent body odour – capable of rendering insensible any human who comes within ten kilometers of a Clakkerpod.

    and the story continues …

Their purpose in gathering had been determined eons before when Zargreb had declared victory after unleashing the ultimate flood. Buried for what had seemed a more than half an eternity had bred both hatred and cunning in their hearts. This time Zargreb, and his descendents, would not find victory would come so easily.

The sand sea which they had once so feared and loathed was now both friend and ally to them. They could not, of course bend it to their will. Zagreb himself had only managed to do so by paying the terrible price of immortality. But they could cajole and entice it. Their wills and its were hard to separate now, after so long. Both ached for revenge.

...one by one, as they emerge, immaculately timed, habitually finding their positions onto the Zargorian wastelands, their heads begin to spin activating the phosphoric acid inside the core of their glassy eyes. Radiating the richest, brightest shade of blue, the macrocosm senses their call and darkness falls.

In the twilight, millions of Clakkerpods gather to form their metropolis.

    They are, once again home…

... and the individual spinning heads start to blur as a giant spiral of ‘pods emerges in the center, up and up they reach forming a smooth blue vortex. The high pitch whine of thousands of motors like a swarm of insects fills the air …

... as the Clakkerpods prepare to enact their final moment of revenge, both on Zagreb and his cohorts, and the universe at large for the indignity of their imprisonment. They prepare their weapon – the one they have been developing, refining, perfecting throughout their incarceration. They would use the very material of their prison against their jailer, their tormenter, and then he would know indignity! Justice – revenge – would be theirs!

No matter that the use of the Great Sand Weapon would likely end in the extinction of their own race. After the intense time they have spent together contemplating their vengeance, this is a small matter.

:) you are too kind Shanina. I am keen to give it a try, but funnily enough -I want to get into 3D to create better, faster 2D images :) Does that make sense?

  • Shanina Conway

    Shanina Conway

Yes it does Tom, it’s what I’m trying to do, it’s not hard,,, so don’t let the learning curve hold you back.

thanks again Shanina, I will tackle the learning curve. Do the free progs come with tutorials? Interesting that you are into graphic design, in my many years as a teacher I always thought I would love to do that- you know how we fantasize easy joyful realities outside our own :) I could never afford Photoshop anyway :)
