Thanks Trish :D I owe it to the song which I can’t stop listening to this week. There’s a line in it which goes, " Remember when I drove you home from work? I loved the way you kissed me ‘bye’." … I love that :D
Quite intense Lee. What came 1st the soundtrack or the image? They go so well together!
Thank you. Well…this is a case of two different sources of inspiration melding into one.
Ever since I did Rachel’s Song (below)..which is a scene from the movie, Blade Runner, I’ve wanted to do another version…but I’ve been waiting for the right frame of mind to occur again.
On an entirely different note, last weekend I was listening to this song over and over.. and I thought I’d do something a bit on the “adults only” side.. you know? I tried, but I just couldn’t come up with anything. I was a bit frustrated, so I decided to put this idea to one side and do the Blade Runner idea again…. and I dunno.. the penny just dropped… that image with this song. And then the line about ..when I drove you home from work.. I thought.. oh right, they’re sitting in a car..
Somehow the Venetian blind effect always draws my attention. Something about Venetian blinds which oozes sexuality and romance eg: love scene from Bladerunner.
Same here, John. For me, its the fleeting glimpse of something beautiful which is so enticing and poignant at the same time, like…. see them now, because any second there may be a sound or something else which breaks the spell.
