Thank you so much. Yes, what a fascinating man. I never tire of looking at his work. Will take me a lifetime to try and understand where he was coming from, but that is part of the allure, isn’t it?

Cubism was such an out there concept at the time, many things he did were so new and so bold.I can only dream of being such an inventor, but it will be my lifelong quest,to create what has never been seen.Is that still possible? :-)

That’s a very interesting question. I have tortured myself with thoughts like that for years. I read about artists like Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh..and more recently Basquiat and Whiteley…and I’m in awe. Its very humbling.

The work which I post for the world to see is work that I am sure of…competent…here and there something a little special perhaps, but largely designed with sales in mind. I have no other means of income, so I always have the question in my mind, “Will this sell?”

For my own development though, I meditate and have tried all manner of creativity exercises. You should see some of the BS I have come up with…ahahahhhaaha…. Oh dear.

I really don’t know if each and every one of us has the ability to “create what has never been seen”. Are there as many different ways to communicate a thought visually, as there are artists on earth? Very perplexing.

Hey flower…I’m sure if we put our minds together, we can come up with an “ism” :-))

I love the graphic line style in this Lee. It is very difficult to show so much detail using not so many lines. Well done!! :)

I love Pickles, that is my name for him. He was so cool, really he was…..lovely drawing of him also. I believe someone will create something new but I think it will be in a medium not yet invented. Something really new that modern artist can’t even imagine yet.
