Another one which has been giving me the shits for weeks. Still not done with it, but wanted to have a look at it online. I’m such an internet-head now…nothing looks real to me anymore, until I see it onscreen :-/

Below is how she looked yesterday. Why did I close her eyes? Ahh…well….

oh boy, I love the blue version myself and her eyes were so dreamy open…hmm…sorry…that’s not helping is it. But wowee Lee, this is such a magickal work of art. The crown is just divine! The abstract elements are amazing. But her red hair is gorgeous too!

Really one stunning work however she ends up! hehehe.

Oh and I think I know why you like to see it online, I think it’s the ‘different perspective’ thing we need when we’ve been working on something for a long time. I still use a mirror or even a window if the work is big. I now even use my phone to get a different perspective so I can ‘see’ the painting from something else other than my own eyes.

    Hope that helps?

I know “eyes open” would be preferred by most people…..which is one of the reasons why I closed them. I guess I’m just in a mood….I just feel like being deliberately irritating sometimes.

lol lol…oh I do understand that actually…kinda like when people tell me that when I paint Jesus looking at them that it unnerves them and it would be better if I had Him looking away. So that just made me paint a deliberately piercing eye to eye gaze so they were completely unnerved LOL…I can relate in my own way to sometimes just wanting to kinda tell people that you’re the artist and sometimes, just sometimes you wanna paint what’s in your heart and not what people tell you you should paint. Something like that? :o)

This is stunning. I actually like the eyes shut. She looked too dainty and detached with them open. With them closed you ask “is she sleeping or dead?”. There is something very mystical about this, instant fave!!!!

  • Lee Wilde replied

Thank you so much :-) I think a part of her grew cold, for sure. She is hanging in there, though…and the colour seems to be returning with a vengeance. Hmmmm….perhaps a sequel to this story may be in order..
