Sinclair’s Gully Winery and Leanne Osmond of Leeo Photography present:
THE ADELAIDE HILLS ~ WILD FLOWERS & NATURAL WONDERS
Every weekend until 28th October 12 ~ 4pm
A stunning photographic exhibition showcasing the natural beauty of the Adelaide Hills: from the smallest wildflower to breathtaking, mist-filled landscapes.
The intimate setting of the ‘Rubida Room’ at Sinclair’s Gully Winery, amongst the natural bush and towering candlebarks, is the perfect backdrop for this superb collection of photographs showcasing the natural beauty of the Adelaide Hills.
The exhibition coincides with Sinclair’s Gully ‘Spring Wine and Wildflower’ walks. Enjoy a walk amongst the wildflowers, then head to the Rubida Room for a glass of award winning wine, and soak up the beauty of Leanne’s photographs of the Adelaide Hills.
Leanne Osmond of Leeo Photography grew up and lives in the Adelaide Hills. As a local photographer she is passionate about capturing the stunning natural environment of the Adelaide Hills, and its many unique and beautiful characteristics.
Leanne’s work covers many different styles – wonderful sunray and mist covered landscapes; the hills in all its seasonal beauty; close up macros of native orchids and flowers, and dew drenched spider webs. Leanne also creates unique artworks by combining photographs together using digital enhancement techniques, to produce images that highlight the beauty of the natural environment and her passion for its conservation. She is also enthusiastic about capturing all other aspects that make the Adelaide Hills unique, such as the Steamranger steam trains and other local attractions.
Leanne describes her early interest in photography: “I first took an interest in photography at age 10, when my grandmother gave me my first camera – a Kodak Instamatic. My love of nature was further encouraged by many nature walks with my uncle David over the years, but it wasn’t until 2005, when I bought my first digital camera, that I found the perfect outlet to express my love of nature, and in particular my passion for the natural beauty of the Adelaide Hills.”
Sue Delaney of Sinclair’s Gully said “We first met Leanne a number of years ago, when she came along to our cellar door with a group to enjoy an afternoon of cheese and wine on the deck. Since then Leanne has returned many times with camera in hand to capture the beauty of this place. It made perfect sense for Leanne to have an exhibition here in our new Rubida Room and Gallery and we are delighted to be able to support a fellow hills dweller.”
Leanne has appeared as a guest on “Postcards” with Keith Conlon for a feature on Mount Barker Summit, which showcased a number of her stunning misty landscape images. Leanne’s work has also been featured in the Trees for Life, the Courier’s ‘In a Snap’, and the Mount Barker and Adelaide Hills Council calendars, and her images have appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, Gardening Australia and Open Garden Scheme Magazines, as well as being used on numerous Adelaide Hills business websites.
Venue: Sinclair’s Gully Winery – 288 Colonial Drive, Norton Summit SA 5136
