Please Read: 2010 Digital Photography Calendar

Yes, it’s been a while. But the charity still stands, and many may not know of it – especially newer members.

Check it out here.

The work is excellent; all profits go to Renaissance Now (the link in the description of the calendar is broken, so it’s here instead… or http://rennow.org/).

As we’ve described it:

The 2010 Digital Photography Calendar marks the start of a charity calendar for the RedBubble Digital Photography Group.

All proceeds go directly and fully to charity. We sponser Renaissance Now (@ www.rennow.org), which is dedicated to ”*…helping underprivileged talented artists around the world to win over poverty, exploitation of human trafficking and assisting artisan communities to develop sustainable income.*”

As a volunteer charity, 100% of …

Thinking Back

I haven’t really been that active now on RB for some time.

I have to say, though, that some of my old designs are still worth getting!

Have a look. Some of the best (ie, most suitable for wearing) have been listed below in the different options of clothing. Of course, they’re all available in all the different styles.

@Digital Photography Group - *Please Read*

Important Reminder
This is to urge everyone to stick to the rules.

That means posting a maximum of two images a day, 10 in total for the week.

That means posting images relevant to the group – in other words, images that have been edited in software.

That means posting only journals that, too, are relevant or within the rules of our group.

Please stick to the rules – we have a three strike system in the group.

Your Digital Christmas 2009 - win 20USD RB voucher

That’s right, the Digital Photography group is hosting yet another challenge – this time, on your Christmas.

We’re calling it Your Digital Christmas 2009.

The Challenge

We all love Christmas (for the most part); the festivity, the gatherings, the colours and lights… and as photographers, we all love capturing Christmas.

So here it is: your summary, in photo form, of Christmas 2009!

Judging / Voting Criteria

The best photo(s): aesthetically, technically and based on the theme.

Rewards & Prizes

Nothing much – just recognition and a 20USD RB voucher!

Additional Information

Open for 1 week. Voting commences immediately thereafter, open for 5 days.

Digital Photography Calendar 2010

Due to a mistake made, the challenge had to relaunched. This means that for a further three days, the challenge will be opened. This is a personal mistake, and I give my profound and utmost apologies to all those involved. I know that some already had begun to vote, and many had received votes. I urge and encourage everyone to please resubmit, and this will not happen again. Once more, I apologise, and please submit your images before the deadline. Thank you.

The challenge is here.

Once the challenge finishes in three days, the Editors’ pick images (three) will be selected from across RB. To suggest a photo (please only do it in three days), please follow the link here.

An Insight: Music Machines

So it seems that the Music Machines contest is well on its way, with less than 14-15 hours to go until it closes and voting commences.

I have to say, it’s a tough one.

There are some brilliant designs. As a non-participant, it’s a free and unbiased look; you can really perceive who’s put in the effort and reached (as close as to, anyway) perfection.

Some favourites of mine, currently, appear to be from
- Bigfatrobot
- RevolutionGFX
- Nofrillsart
- Naf4d
- Rubyred
- Zomboy

and in particular,
Tom Douce’s Lost in Sound, as well as Simon Reeve’s Sound of Da Police.

May the five designs win! Judging from that long queue… it’s going to be a tough ride!

Digital Photography - new group!

Yes, it’s so soon!

But another group is yet up.

Looking for digital photographers, this group is aptly named ‘Digital Photography’.

Enforcing the digital in digital photography.

Join and add your work!

All are welcome.

This group is co-hosted with John Vandeven.

Universal Innovation

Universal Innovation has been accepted as a group, and thus is now a group.

Please join… it’s a great outlook, and I’m sure it’ll go far.

This group is hosted by myself and Tom Douce.
