soundtrack to my dive
Had a very nice soundtrack to my dive today … humpback whales were singing continuously for the whole dive. It seemed there were several different “songs” happening. They were quite loud … so much so that I couldn’t concentrate on my camera settings at all rolleyes.gif
We were diving at Bowen Island (Jervis Bay) gorgeous clear water, but a little chilly at 17 degrees

Fantastic. Whale song reverberates in your head. Quite a strange sensation, but lovely to experience for sure. See any dragons or nudis?
PS: Its only 11-12 degrees C down here

Hi Stephen, saw a couple of weedies and quite a few nudies … though just the usual suspects – Bennetts, Chromodoris (splendida, tasmensis, woodwardae etc), and blue dragons. I was having fun with starfish and a macro lens :P
Hi Karin, it was pretty intense with being so loud … they must have been quite close!

Amazing experience, Leander. I’ve floated above a humpback singer in Tonga. His song reverberated throughout my chest and midsection. I’ll never forget that experience. Glad you enjoyed this experience. You are now an honorary whale geek! Cheers!
