On 10/27/12 the Eagles at Conowingo Dam (Maryland, USA) were so active I’m certain they were catching more fish than the fishermen in the nearby boat. Although they were very active, they didn’t get very close – most of my pics were taken from a distance at 500mm.
The Bald Eagle is a well known symbol for the United States. The mature Eagle has a striking white head, a great wingspan, and is a majestic sight to behold.
The Eagle in this picture is a young adult.
