I'm Dreaming of a White Autumn by

Today the Northeastern US experienced a record setting October snow storm. During this time of year, folks are usually enjoying the peak autumn colors, but instead we were shoveling heavy wet snow. In central Pennsylvania we had about 6 inches of snow that stuck to the autumn leaves. The weight of the snow combined with the foliage created beautiful arched trees, but caused a lot of damage and power outages.

Of course you shot it! And you probably didn’t have to walk far for this! Looks awesome! :)

  • You’re correct!!! I didn’t have to go far – there was plenty of beauty soooo close to home! Actually I couldn’t go far due to fallen trees!

The colours of the leaves look awesome against the white of the snow.

Hi Lori, I live near both Oakland and San Francisco, and the Occupy /insert city name/ and this storm is about the only news that we have had. This is a very magical capture with the color of the leaves still showing. Lovely image! Sandy
