Freedom

Lori Deiter

Central PA, United States

Artist's Description

For some prisoners, daylight at the end of Cellblock 9 at the Eastern State Penitentiary (ESP) meant freedom! ESP with a wagon wheel floor plan, was once one of the most expensive prisons in the world and now stands in ruins in Philadelphia, PA, USA. It was opened in 1829 and abandoned in 1971. This is an awesome place if you love places that are rusty, crusty and falling to bits!
