Now is the time to visit Elk County, Pennsylvania to hear the bugle of the bull elk!!! The best viewing times are morning and evening, but they do roam around during the day.
This handsome guy was so elusive, but with the help of a local elk “expert” we found this bull elk hiding in the woods along Winslow Hill Road. We actually came face to face with this guy. Many of the Elk are somewhat tame and some have names…. but the bull elk can be aggressive during mating season in September/October of each year. Elk can be seen just about anywhere at the designated viewing areas, along the roads and in front/back yards.
