The benefits of getting up early…. I decided to stay close to home today! A beautiful May morning at Clarks Creek. Taken 5/1/10 at dawn (around 6:30 am), Clarks Valley, PA. The water was so calm, and the only sounds I heard were a chattering Bald Eagle (a nice surprise) and the haunting sound of a loon (that’s true!).

It’s a crying shame that I don’t do a.m. because this is gorgeous. I bet it was so peaceful.
