A trip along Skyline Drive in eastern Pennsylvania gives visitors the opportunity to see the seven-story, PAGODA, a truly unique attraction that stands proudly atop Mt. Penn, overlooking the city of Reading.
The Pagoda was built In 1908 by quarry owner William Witman. Witman dreamed that it would be Reading’s most glamorous luxury hotel — 886 feet above the city, but lack of a decent access road foiled his plan. Later it was donated to the city of Reading, and is currently a landmark and sightseeing destination.
I wasn’t happy with the plain pretty blue sky, so I was experimenting and layered this in photoshop.
