5/30/09 ~ Featured in the Canon DSLR group . The old Rausch Creek Railroad Bridge was built in the 1850’s, when the coal mining town of Rausch Gap was still in existence. Rausch Gap became a ghost town after the closing of the mine and transfer of businesses to Pine Grove in the late 1800’s. The old railroad is now the beautiful Stony Valley Trail – known for hiking and biking and runs through the Appalachian Mountains from Goldmine Road (near Tower City) to Dauphin, PA. Taken 5/23/09. .
