Deer are such amazing animals. I love how they move their ears and can sense every sound around them. This doe was very cautious as she watched a squirrel in my bird feeder while turning her right ear backwards to hear what was going on. {She has lots of whiskers} Taken in my backyard – 9/13/08, Clarks Valley, PA.

I was surprised that she came so close to the house that day. I think she was pretty hungry – I thought she looked thin.
