The orange autumn sky and skeleton of a bare Walnut Tree – except for some scattered walnuts. Taken 9/26/09 at sunrise, Clarks Valley Road, Tower City, PA The natural color was an orange tint, I just tweaked it to make it more vibrant!

    Stunning shot, and the inclusion of the bare tree makes it so much more special. Not sure what it is about deciduous trees that I love so much – maybe it has something to do with the intricate pattern of the naked branches. Anyway, it’s gorgeous.

    I’m surprized this tree is without leaves already…we only have a couple trees even showing signs of turning so far. I hope that doesn’t mean a early winter.

    Hi Jeffrae – our Walnut trees always lose their leaves first. I was surpised to see this one pretty bare already…. except for the walnuts. One in our yard is about half bare right now.
