Washing Down
Oil on canvas, 2009.

This painting is inspired by the many photos I took of horses being washed down after the cross country phase of Badminton Horse Trials which took place this month. The horse I based the painting on is Muschamp Implala, who was ridden by Tristam Owers at the event.
Washing Down belongs to the following groups:

Oh My – a beauty – as I once washed down polo ponies after each chukka in Cyprus when a friend was playing – this reminded me of a great day too. Wonderful art work – stunning portrayal. Liz
