As you might have guessed, horses feature quite heavily in my art! I have always had a love of horses and never tire of painting them.
I completed my first oil painting in early 2008, and haven’t looked back since. I adore the richness and versatility of oils and enjoy learning and growing as an artist with each piece I produce. With a toddler and a baby keeping me very busy I struggle to find the time to paint as much as I would like, but can be found working away in my studio most evenings once my wonderful children are in bed!
I only ever work from my own reference material for original work, and my photography is a very important part of my creative process.
In addition to my commissioned pieces I am always working hard on my own original paintings. You can follow my progress via my Facebook page which I keep regularly updated. If you are interested in seeing how my paintings develop I have a blog which I use mainly to track works in progress- you can also see a time lapse video of me producing a painting from start to finish on YouTube (link below!)
