'Reign'

I came to learn my breath and fierce heartbeat were separated.

It precipitates to me; that my affection is the same. I’d been so naive, there’s not a single soul to blame.

Though thought unlikely, given nature; a brutal disposition. The gift of far-sight that’s inherent; this distant azure stare.

Revelation came by timely, found me on tides rising. Deep inside the sweeping curtain, of luminescent downpour.

You’d be surprised how marginal ‘tis, beneath this much armour. The pain’s a dull ache, so familiar; little longer noticed.

Pales in the light of that which, swiftly now comes for me.

The reign of victory in the light, love a fateful vanguard.
