'Move'

If summer falls to winter,
then spring will see us through.
The circles overlapping here;
just heralds of the new.

Another gorgeous flower,
fallen by the wayside.
Another empty clip,
discarded to the left.

The evening light will smoulder,
where time and space divide.
It’s in between these places,
we leave the world behind.

Wreathed in shadow, fierce and cruel;
They see me like the darkness.
They mistake my convictions,
they know not of the truth.

At breakneck pace behind closed eyes,
I weave between ambient lines;
and cross the great divide.

You’re giving me that look again,
across the veil of night.
You love the way we move,
beneath that grin I never hide.
