The Boy's a HERO

The noise of the crash was sickening to those who heard it. The car was on its roof and wreckage was strewn over the road. Petrol was dipping from the damaged tank on to the exhaust and there was a chance of a fire.
The young boy had scrambled out but witnesses said he went back to the car and dragged his brother out seconds before a fire started and the wreck exploded with a fierce bang.
The city was yearning for a feel good story. Newspaper headlines screamed ‘BOY SAVES BROTHER’ TV reporters were clamoring to interview the boy when he was released from hospital.
“That was a very brave thing you did. You are a hero” gushed one reporter.
“Nah” said the boy. “I had just lent $5 to my brother and he wouldn’t give it back to me so I had to pull him out.”
