Mt. Rainier in August of 2009. It was a very hot Summer that year. By August most of the snow had melted off the mountain. A rare sight to see so much exposed rock.
Photo taken near, Graham, WA, USA.
Camera: Nikon D40x
Enhanced with GIMP

Lenticular Afternoon

I live in beautiful Washington State, USA. Photography has been my passion for many years. I feel very fortunate to have lived here, my entire life. This great and diverse state is perfect for photography. I enjoy traveling and the great outdoors, the subject of much of my work. I also enjoy creating digital art and experimental photography. I’m adding new work all the time so, please visit often.

Best Wishes, Tori Snow

It does look very red; looks beautiful against the blue sky.

  • The sun was setting and gave it this orange glow :-)

I remember that HOT, HOT Summer. One day it was 113 deg. at my house. Thank God for A/C. Peace

  • We had a 114 degree probably on the same day. I hate it when is gets over 82 ;-)
