A not-so-lovely Turkey Vulture… sitting on a post among some beautiful thistle flowers. There were two others, as well. They seemed to be pondering their next move between meals…

No after-work, straight from the camera.

Cool! What a great capture, Robyn. They may not be pretty, but they certainly are graceful flyers. Unless they’re circling you at the time……

  • Haha! It could happen, Mike! Thank you…. good to see you on a Sunday evening… : )

A wonderful capture of this Turkey Vulture! Even more so being straight from the camera. I’m one who thinks these birds are more attractive than most but I’m a bird person (LOL). :) Excellent work here Robyn, well done!

  • Thank you very much, Robert! I’m afraid I haven’t been around RB too much lately… missing all sorts of things… but I have been having a LOT of personal dilemmas that need tending.. not much time for photography, I’m afraid. Thank you for the favorite, too!

Beautiful shot of Turkey Vulture! I find they are usually pretty elusive and so hard to get a close shot of. You managed a great shot! Great work! : )

  • There were three of them there, Sandy! I got several shots of them together, but this one was really one if the better shots. Thank you!

They sure are ugly birds! LOL Very nicely done, He seems so lost among the beautiful flowers.

  • I have to agree with you, Fred, they must have been hiding behind the door when they were passing out the pretty faces…. ! Thank you…. : )

I happen to like em :) they are actually amusing at times when they are in groups, they play around like crows do.

  • I’ve never seen them do that… next time I see a batch of them I will have to observe… : ) Thank you, Larry!
